Copper tees have bodies brazed on. Using copper for the tee portion allows tubing to be attached to each end and allows using a solderless than silver solder, such as 95-5. They are to be used where two line ends have not yet been attached or where it is desirable to cut a line rather than drive a hole on an uncharged system. Copper tees save time and money.
